This website and web app ("the Service") are operated by Learnify Yazılım ve Bilişim Teknolojileri Limited Şirketi ("Learnify", "we", "us"), a company registered in Türkiye. This policy explains what data we handle when you use lifeintheuktestonline.com.
What we collect
- Study data stays on your device. Your test progress, scores, bookmarks and highlights are stored locally in your browser (local storage). We do not upload them to our servers and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them.
- No account is required. We do not ask you to register, and we do not store passwords.
- Payments. Purchases are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle. Paddle collects the billing details needed to complete the purchase (such as your email address and payment method) under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and transaction details so we can activate and restore your Premium access; we never see your full card number.
- Usage analytics. We may collect anonymised usage statistics (pages visited, feature usage, approximate region) to improve the Service. This data does not identify you personally.
- Translation. If you use the translate feature, the chapter or question text (never your personal data) is sent to a translation service to produce the translation.
How we use data
- To activate, verify and restore Premium purchases.
- To respond to support requests sent to our email address.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the Service.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising on this website.
Legal basis and retention
We process purchase-related data to perform our contract with you, and minimal analytics under our legitimate interest in improving the Service. Transaction records are retained as required by tax and accounting law; support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (usually limited to your email address and purchase history). Contact us at support@learnify.app. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
